With a yellow outfit, skirt, top and jacket, driving his electronic chair, Aaron Rose Philip made a masterful entry into New York Fashion Week by the Italian firm Moschino.
Although her recent appearance has positioned her in the media around the world, the 20-year-old model, originally from Antigua and Barbuda, has long been making her way in the world of fashion.
In 2015, she caught the attention of Elite Model Management, who hired her in September 2018 and walked her on numerous runways.

She thus became the first black, trans and disabled model to sign with a haute couture company.
She landed contracts with clothing, magazine and cosmetic brands, but her most recent appearance in New York, presenting Moschino's spring-summer collection brought her global recognition.
“It has been a long time and I am completely grateful to God and everyone who has ever supported me in any way. I hope this is the beginning and inspires and empowers more global brands of this level to really work on the inclusion and normalization of disabled presences and talents in their showcases”, she shared on her social networks after the show.
“Disabled people, role models and talent matter a lot and we can do a lot, as long as steps are taken to properly accommodate us. Black trans girls and women matter and are beautiful and I thank God that we are realizing, more and more, what a gentle soul we are. Thank you Jeremy and your team for believing in me. I love you so much,” he added.
In addition, as revealed days later, the Moschino team designed a seat belt cover for her chair with the same fabric as her skirt. In this way, everything was perfectly camouflaged with her look, allowing the design of the outfit to be adaptable and accessible to Aaron's needs.
The model Winnie Harlow and Precious Lee also participated in the same parade.
