An age of discipline is the name given to the Schiaparelli Haute Couture collection for Spring/Summer 2022. Presented at the Petit Palais in Paris, the garments became true living works of art. The three fundamental pillars of the new collection are the colors black, gold and raw, which have painted the different surreal and futuristic designs typical of the house. Daniel Roseberry, the house's creative designer since 2019, hasn't needed a drop of color to make jaws drop... even under the masks.
One of the key pieces of the collection has been the cape inspired by the Apollo Fountain located in front of the Palace of Versailles. As in his previous collections, Roseberry takes the archives of the house to make references to the great founder, as is the case with the cape, the palm tree jacket or the skeleton dress. In addition, on this occasion he has had a group of artisans to make the most representative symbols in clay: the padlock, the lobster and the dove. Spectacular designs have also appeared in the collection, such as the one that Bella Hadid wore at the last edition of the Cannes Film Festival, dressed with all the ballots of appearing on upcoming red carpets.
The model Maggie Maurer, muse of the Schiaparelli house in recent years and protagonist of the previous collections, has also been present at this parade. Her face has become the star bag on the catwalk. And the references are not only left at home: the mythical Cone Dress by Jean Paul Gautier that Madonna has worn so much during her musical performances, has been another source of inspiration. Once again, this proposal shows that David Roseberry is the reincarnated spirit of a 21st century Elsa Schiaparelli.
