Vibrant colors will be the main protagonists in next year's clothing and accessories. After a couple of years complicated by the coronavirus pandemic, firms have opted for shades that denote optimism and joy to face a 2022 that we hope will be better than 2020 and 2021.
Chanel, Givenchy, Jacquemus or Saint Laurent have been some of the luxury firms that have already included colors in designs such as dresses, knitwear, jacket and pants sets and even shoes and handbags. Also one of the favorite brands of the 'influencers', Uterqüe, has advanced the trends that will take place in the coming months with a collection full of intense colors that will mark the fashion of 2022. These are the five shades that will triumph in the 'street style':
Very Peri, the color of Pantone
A few weeks ago Pantone confirmed that the color of the year would be Very Peri, a new mix of a blue hue mixed with a purplish red. "The Pantone Color of the Year is a reflection of what is happening in our global culture and expresses the answer to what people are looking for in this color," said Laurie Pressman, Vice President of the Pantone Color Institute. Prabal Gurung or Givenchy have been some of the firms that have opted for this tone for their collections for next year.
Bright orange
The trend agency WGSN and the Coloro color system are clear that orange will be one of the great protagonists of the year. Its vitality and optimism have conquered brands such as Oscar de la Renta, Erdem or Proenza Schouler, which opt for this shade in various shades to suit all tastes and bring joy to our winter and spring-summer looks.
The most cheerful yellow
The joy and positivity that yellow transmits are the key to understanding the success of this shade that is already beginning to have a presence in the stores of luxury and low-cost brands '. On the catwalk, brands such as Chanel, Versace or Prabal Gurung confirmed the trend for yellow, which will be worn in various shades, from a soft pastel known as 'Popcorn' to the most vibrant.
Pink in all shades
The vibrant color palette continues with pink in all its shades. Valentino, Chanel or Saint Laurent are some of the luxury brands that have included various designs in this color in their spring-summer 2022 collections. In addition, one of the great mixes for next year is pink and red, a duo that Jacquemus and Uterqüe are committed to and that promises to revolutionize 'street style'.
Festive gold
Another of the tones that will be worn both during the day and at night is gold. The metallic designs, the fringe details and the beading in this shade will triumph in all kinds of designs, from the suggestive mini-dresses by Balmain to the sets by Paco Rabanne or bodies by Yves Saint Laurent.
