Paris Fashion Week has shown us the new proposals from the great Haute Couture designers for the next spring-summer season and, according to the creative directors of the different firms, it is going to be a time in full color.
After the cold and dark winter, pink and fresh tones usually appear, but, nevertheless, for this spring, it will be the main color of all makeup. We have not only seen the vivacity of pink in the Haute Couture collections that have just been presented, but also on the catwalk with the spring-summer 2022 ready-to-wear trends.
From the most explosive and all over the face (in the style of the 80s) is the proposal of Caterina Moro. The designer bets on a hyperpigmented color that goes from the cheeks to the temples. On the other hand, Celia Kritharioti stays on the more girly side of the spectrum, with a monochrome look and white eyeliner.
Elie Saab opts for a darker and deeper color, almost reaching earth tones and leaving all the prominence to the eyes, while Gretel Z. uses pink very subtly on the cheekbones and using the draping technique, which consists in contouring the face using blush.
For their part, Viktor&Rolf go to the more daring side of color with many cons and playing with shades. While they put a yellow shadow on the eyes, all the prominence is taken by the cheeks with an intense pink blush and burgundy lips.
This trend has already reached street style and they have adapted it to everyday life, leaving the most dramatic looks for the catwalks. The proposals are adapted to each type of person and range from the most subtle to the most aggressive styles.
