Last April, the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) announced its intention to bring back the in-person shows at New York Fashion Week. After seeing the evolution of vaccination against Covid-19 and analyzing the current health situation in the country, the organization has confirmed that the edition, which will take place from September 8 to 12, will feature live shows.
This has been revealed in a publication on his Instagram profile, where he has also detailed how the 'fashion week' will be held in just a few weeks. This edition will feature the participation of 91 designers and fashion firms, including Altuzarra and Thom Browne, who are returning to the New York catwalk after parading for a few years in Paris.
There will also be names like Michael Kors, Tom Ford, Jason Wu or Carolina Herrera, who will celebrate her 40 years in the industry with a parade on September 9. On the contrary, traditional brands such as Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren and Tommy Hilfiger have declined to participate in this edition.
