MFW SS22: Donatella pays tribute to Foulard de Versace in a parade starring Dua Lipa

Versace, the Italian luxury house, presented its spring/summer 2022 collection during the Milan Fashion Week, with a tribute to the classic foulard foulard of the brand and the appearance on the catwalk of singer Dua Lipa.
This presentation SS22 marks the return of the firm to the physical and public parades, after more than two years.The Luxury Maison did not attend the Fashion Week of Milan AW21, but chose to present its collection in digital format at a later date.
For this season, the line has concentrated on the Seda Foulard in Versace, a piece that has become a characteristic seal of the brand.The designs explored the possibilities of the silk scarf, through the use of steamy shirts or tight dresses, each of them implementing the typical adorned print.
"Foulard is a fundamental component of Versace's inheritance and character," explains Donatella Versace in a statement."It has served as canvas for our iconic prints and can be carried in multiple ways, from knotted tops to head scarves or bag accessories, it is a way to add the Versace attitude to any look."
And he continued: "Foulard has been with us since the beginning of the brand, but this season he turns everything, he is no longer fluid or dreamer, the handkerchief is provocative, sexy, rolled up."
The garments have been built "random", with unmurled and unmissable details of Versace joining cut materials.Silk scarf texture contrasts with latex looks, presented in the form of dresses and tops to the body that in turn distinguished themselves from the most oversize styles.
The sets inspired by the pajamas and basketball looks were among the variety of more contrasted designs, each of which has used the iconic handkerchief of the handkerchief, with combinations of daring colors of purple, yellow and roses that contributed a striking freshnessto the pattern.
