The cost of tickets for the Guayaquil Book Fair will be USD 2 for adults and USD 1 for people with disabilities and the elderly. Children under 12 years old enter free.
In the Hall of Presidents of the Simón Bolívar Convention Center, the inauguration of the seventh edition of the Guayaquil Book Fair was held on September 8.
The activity was attended by Mayor Cynthia Viteri, who recalled that an emergency hospital operated in the same compound a year ago to treat COVID-19 patients.

But now the pandemic is under control and it hosts the Book Fair as a sign of the city's recovery.
Opening hours of the fair
In this edition of the fair, 11 international and 30 national writers will participate, virtually and in person.
The venue will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., from this Wednesday, September 8, until next September 12. It is expected that 1,500 people will attend during this period, respecting the capacity regulations.

Gloria Gallardo, president of the Municipal Tourism, Civic Promotion and International Relations Company, said that the city's Book Fair has become a benchmark for the writers who have participated in it. "Guayaquil shines with this Book Fair because without the book we cannot talk about language, culture and critical thinking," said the official.
The fair will have 50 stands of bookstores and publishers. The cost of the entrance will be USD 2 for adults and USD 1 for people with disabilities and the elderly. Children under 12 years old enter free.
Cecilia Ansaldo, content director of the fair, affirmed that books are alive and are the main recipients of intellectual activity. That is why she described them as artifacts of the culture that approach the unknown.
