The 'fashion weeks' are committed to a calendar in which the digital format will have a greater presence due to the health crisis

The fashion industry starts 2021 with the lesson learned. The major international catwalks are already prepared to present the men's fashion collections of the most important brands. A calendar that, for the second consecutive year, has had to reinvent itself and bet on the digital format.

Most of the brands will show their proposals through their web pages and the official pages of the different 'fashion weeks'. A new way of doing fashion shows that adapts to the restrictions dictated by the health authorities and that marks the path that will be followed for the women's catwalks.

Italy, where precisely in February of last year the brands and models witnessed the first consequences of the coronavirus, has been the country in charge of giving the starting signal to the calendar with Pitti Immagine Uomo. The catwalk, which is being held in Florence these days, has the presence of four firms that digitally display their proposals for the autumn-winter 2021/22 season: Brunello Cucinelli, Herno, Kiton and Lardini.

Tomorrow it will be the turn of Milan Fashion Week, which will include a couple of on-site fashion shows by Etro and Fendi, who want to recover the essence of the international catwalk with these events in which the guests will have to maintain social distance and wear the mandatory mask.

The Italian 'fashion week', which will end on January 19, will also be in the news for the first collection of Raf Simons for Prada. Last week the followers of the brand were already able to see a preview of the campaign that went viral due to its messages with which the Belgian invited his clients to reflect.

The next appointment will be Paris Fashion Week, from January 19 to 24. The provisional calendar can already be consulted on the catwalk website but it is not yet possible to know if there will be any show in person. From the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode in Paris they assure that "the formats will be specified when the calendar is published definitive". Among the most important appointments are Dior Homme, Louis Vuiton or Loewe.

New York Fashion Week will kick off on February 14. For four days, the American firms will show their garments for the next season through Runway360. An edition that will be mixed, that is, pieces for him and for her will be presented.

The 'fashion weeks' in New York and London opt for a mixed and digital calendar

In this vein, London Fashion Week also opts for a mixed and digital calendar. From February 19 to 23, the most important British brands, such as Asai, Temperley London or ERDEM will advance future trends.
