After a long wait, Berlin fashion week could have a public again and nobody wanted to miss it.The streets of the German capital breathed fashion.

The guests hastened to attend the events and fashion parades, which covered from the classic design to the hybrid concepts and international streetwear clothes.The promising designer Florentina Leitner met with the American clothing manufacturer Streetwear Heron Preston and with the Ottolinger brand, known internationally.From fashionunited we offer you a summary of the highlight of this edition.

Fassbender goes to Ibiza

As many people at this time, Christina Fassbender, his brother Sebastian Steinhoff and the creative director Matthias Louwen seem to yearn to a sun, beach and sand holidays.The trio behind the Fassbender brand, based in Hamburg, showed a collection inspired by the Spanish island of Ibiza.

In it, the blue tones of the Mediterranean meet the sandy and stony landscape of the Balearic Island.The color palette that is complemented with floral prints that make the collection sprout.

The design of the SS22 collection is as versatile as the Ibizan landscape.Fluid and light fabrics are combined with pieces of work clothes made with stronger fabrics.Elements such as sailor necks provide maritime touch.

In the pop-up event “Platte.Berlin ”, the city of Berlin was shown from a completely different perspective.The parade took place in the backyard of the disco between gray concrete walls.The new fashion center of the capital presents brands such as DSTM lingerie, the Berlin Damur street clothing brand and that of Pelensau Sustainable Accessories.

30 designers presented themselves in a combination of catwalk and vagging, a dance style that feeds on the energy of their audience.The guests encouraged, applauded and danced with great enthusiasm.

Richert Beil shows "Tageschau" (newspaper) in the reference festival

The duo of designers Richert Beil presented his SS22 collection in a very special place.In the dome of the futuristic Bierpinsel Building, 47 meters high, the creative director Jale Richert and the designer Michele Beil presented the "show of the day".Adjusted costumes and ties were combined with Streetwear and Outdoor clothes.As for the color, the collection is sober, with earth, black and light blue tones.It is also quite quiet in regards to patterns, except for camouflages.

The Berlin brand showed its collection during the Public Relations Agency Festival Reference Studios.In addition to the parade, parties were held, artistic facilities and presentations could be seen in Bierpinsel.Also present were the Sports Streetwear and Elegant Ottolinger and the Line of Prêt-à-Norter of Berlin 032C magazine, as well as the Outdoor Carhartt clothing brand.In front of the premises, the Parisian Phipps brand positioned itself with a pop-up van.Its founder, Spencer Phipps, used it to sell restored vintage pieces of its gold brand.

Heron Preston shows his collaboration with Mercedes in a power plant

La Mercedes Benz Fashion Week de Berlin presentó varios desfiles, la exposición colectiva Berliner Salon y también una instalación artística del diseñador estadounidense de ropa de calle Heron Preston en la central eléctrica Kraftwerk.

Preston collaborated with the German car company on the occasion of the 40th Anniversary of the Airbag.This resulted in a collection of outdoor clothing inspired by this protection mechanism.
