In 2013 they joined the talent of the model Laura Sánchez and businessman Javier Villa to take flamenco fashion to the place she deserved.Together they set up the We Love Flamenco catwalk, which in 2022 celebrates a decade. After two years without April Fair due to the pandemic caused by the COVID-19, this season returns this Flemish fashion event from January 15 to 21 at the Alfonso XIII Hotel (Seville).
"Starting this hopeful 2022 with flamenco fashion is the best thing that can happen to Andalusia," says Javier Villa in statements collected by ABC.«The sector needs parades, movement, joy and also sold. And, regardless of the fairs and pilgrimages, on our catwalk we will see many flamenco inspiration proposals that go beyond the regional suit, ”adds the Sevillian businessman.
Remembering its origins, Javier Villa explains in Diario de Sevilla that «we wanted to do something different from what was already done in the city, our idea was to give the flamenco suit that touch of haute couture. We came up.We had to give a different wrapping to flamenco fashion and that is what we did ».
In total there are twenty -eight signatures that will make twenty -seven parades. The José Hidalgo catwalk opens on Saturday 15 from half past four in the afternoon. As in previous editions, there is no lack of beneficial character with the Parade of the Sandra Ibarra Foundation, in which the models for one day will be women in treatment. On the other hand, UNICEF wanted to join the event with two children's catwalks.
"In this edition many things converge, it is the tenth anniversary and, in addition we come from a pandemic, the feelings are very scrambled and the effort to get here has been titanic," explains the model and organizer Laura Sánchez.
This 2022 We Love Flamenco is presented as the first Andalusian event, a fashion destination, a project also developed by GO!Events and Communication –Laura Sánchez and Javier Villa - in collaboration with the Junta de Andalucía.This encompasses various activities to give visibility and promotion to numerous companies, artisans and Andalusian designers with flamenco fashion as a conductive thread.A firm commitment to give flamenco fashion the place that corresponds to it.
