Under 1.70m tall, they lead a new emerging canon in fashion

Lily-Rose Depp is barely 1.60m tall but she is Chanel's new muse. She began as an ambassador for the new millennial perfume from the French house and now she is the official face of the Autumn-Winter 2017 campaign together with Cara Delevingne.

A lot of her meteoric career has to do, of course, with being the daughter of who she is -her mother, Vanessa Paradis, was also the muse of Karl Lagerfeld with the same height- but Lily is not only the maximum representative of the nepotism that emerges in the world of fashion. Also, and despite everything, she is a good spokesperson for petite models, a standard of women who has finally found her place in this industry.

The same one that until now had been considering that Kate Moss or Twiggy weren't exactly up to snuff -both are over 1.70m tall- despite having been two of the most iconic mannequins in history.

The Revolution of Short Models

Lily-Rose has also walked for Chanel, and side by side with another of the most sought-after models of the moment, daughter of Lauryn Hill and granddaughter of Bob Marley: Selah Marley. She is practically the same height as Lily and is the image of Ivy Park, Beyoncé's sports brand, as well as the star of Miu Miu's Pre-Fall 2017 catalog at the express request of Miuccia Prada.

Selah, 18, has also posed for Kanye West. Kim Kardashian's husband has also been one of the designers who has catapulted another petite model, Amina Blue, to fame, rejected in the past for her short stature.

He's literally five feet tall, but both he and Virgil Abloh, another of the creators of the moment, are raving about this girl. Half German, half Pakistani, she has accumulated more than 600,000 followers on Instagram and is a regular on the pages of CR Fashion Book.

Amina shares a daring aesthetic with the unique Miranda Makaroff, a fashion girl from homeland where there are any, petite but multifaceted -just like the Spanish Instagrammer of the moment, Blanca Miró- and features with Sofia Richie. The latter is another famous daughter who acts as the perfect representative of a new generation of It-girls, as stylish as they are petite, who seem to be changing the beauty standards.

To this group we must add Cindy Kimberly, the aspiring model who broke the internet when Justin Bieber publicly asked about her. There is also Madison Beer, a singer by profession, who has climbed the catwalk of Dolce & Gabbana and they say he's dating Brooklyn Beckham - his ex-girlfriend, Sonia Ben Ammar, model for Miu Miu, Pull & Bear and Carolina Herrera is also from the group.

And we can't forget Bieber's new flirt, Audreyanna Michelle, who regularly works for the Kardashians and who, like all of the above, doesn't rise as many feet off the ground as fashion considers a professional model should (and even so, they're all signed by international agencies). At least until now.
