The Panticosa catwalks will open again on April 9, after the winter season, as confirmed by the city council on its web portal and on its social networks.
Since they were inaugurated at the end of last March and until they closed once the Todos los Santos bridge was finished, some 65,000 people enjoyed this tourist offer launched by the panticuto city council.
The mayor, Jesús María Uriz, already commented that this activity had been "a success", an initiative that had greatly energized the town, and had been noticed in shops, hotels, etc.
The action had an investment of about 320,000 euros borne by the Consistory. The project had started three years ago with the environmental and geotechnical study. In 2019 the project was approved and the work that was delayed by the covid was tendered. The works were finished at the beginning of December 2020, and in March 2021 they were ready for your enjoyment.
The footbridges go over the Caldarés river and the route has two options: One includes the O'Calvé Viewpoint and lasts 55 minutes, and another goes by the Las Paules path variant and lasts 45 minutes.
The route starts in the parking lot of the Cable Car, you go behind it and along the path. Las Tierras you access the detour that takes you to the catwalks, about 700 meters long. You go out to the forest area and from there you can go up to the viewpoint or return to Panticosa through Las Paules.
