A few months ago, singer Dua Lipa chose a Versace outfit to attend the Frieze Art Fair in London. The look was made up of a lime green top and a purple miniskirt, both made of mesh fabric. This summer it became clear that trends from the past such as low-rise pants are returning, which tells us that designers miss the 2000s (or as they call them now, Y2K), and therefore we will see many clothes inspired by this era. Although the miniskirt arrived in the 60s, the 2000s took it upon themselves to shorten it and make it much sexier. Everything indicates that the high waist will continue, but it is very likely that it will have to coexist with this new style of skirts that, of course, come in all colors, shapes and patterns.
Each firm reinterprets the miniskirt in its own way. Chanel has her classic version of tweed, Acne bets on the casual and Prada for a minimal lady style. In general, this season the miniskirt is going to remain practically as we have been seeing it in recent months, the rise of the low waist will come (perhaps) later.
At the moment, the cut of the skirt does not fall below the navel (with some very media exceptions in Miu Miu or Blumarine) but the most popular length will be the one that leaves the legs in the air (the more visible, the better). We have been attentive to the proposals of the catwalks, and we have taken note of the different ways to combine this timeless garment and more on trend than ever.

We have seen it in the Prada and Emilio Pucci shows, and despite being one of the most discreet options, it has not gone unnoticed. The miniskirt that they propose to us is minimalist, with a very simple pattern, with few cuts and straight both at the waist and at the bottom. It has the typical modern essence of the 2000s and deserves all the prominence, so it is better to combine it with neutral garments.
