The 080 Barcelona Fashion catwalk starts its 27th edition on Monday, the second already in digital format due to the pandemic.The Catalan Fashion Week, promoted by the Generalitat through the Consortium of Commerce, Crafts and Fashion (CCAM), will have as its stage the Pedrera de Antoni Gaudí, from where 22 designers and brands will present their collections in Fashion Show Films, recorded parades in advance.They do not have the emotion of the live, but they allow "a more cinematographic story" and better show the details of the creations, says the director of the 080, Marta Coca, who also points out that the Internet allows "internationalizing much more" the contest.

Among the designers and brands that will present their creations lis.And the presentations have been recorded in exterior spaces (such as the roof or the patio) or interior (a floor, the attic) of the Gaudí building.

Last year, the organization and the creators valued the digital format at a complicated time for the fashion sector.In four days, the emissions of the 080 TV platform registered 30.000 visits and 100.000 visualizations, with spectators from 86 different countries.The public then connected, above all, from Europe, the United States and Latin America.

The 080, explained the organization on the eve of the 2021 edition, maintains the motto Undress Your Mind (naked your mind) and seeks to foster diversity, "the commitment to diversity, creativity, design and innovation"."Digitization," the organizers understand, "it is an opportunity to increase the projection of Catalan fashion and reach new hearings internationally".

The parades of the 080 can be followed from Monday to April 29 on the official website, which will offer a virtual row to follow the collections in scoop;and interviews in which designers will present their collections.The portal will also allow access to fashion and complementary spaces to know the catwalk inside, such as the casting to choose the models or preparations that are not seen when the camera shows the parades.

Last February, Barcelona Fashion Summit was already held to facilitate tools and resources to companies to help them during economic recovery.And in March, the Fashion Connect, with the Catalan Textile and Fashion Cluster, to promote the commercialization of local collections.
