The Yby Yaú Nation: They find the body of an alleged member of the Ozuna brothers' gang

This Monday around noon, the body of a Brazilian citizen was found in a puddle of water, next to Route PY05 General Bernardino Caballero, in the district of Yby Yaú, department of Concepción. After the removal of the body and after a series of investigations, the Prosecutor's Office presumes that it would be the member of the criminal gang of the Ozuna brothers.

The deceased person was identified as Jeverson Carlos Ribeiro, 31, of Brazilian nationality, who lived in the Bernardino Caballero neighborhood and was found in the Yhaguy neighborhood, about 10 kilometers from the urban area. The body has more than 14 bullet wounds and it is presumed that it was thrown after the execution.

“Apparently he was thrown on the side of the road, he is a person of Brazilian nationality. So far it has already been inspected by the coroner and has more than 14 bullet wounds, "said prosecutor Samuel Valdez, in contact with Universo 970. He confirmed that the weapon with which the man was executed would be a 9-millimeter pistol, according to agents of Criminalistics.

He explained that the deceased had a criminal record for drug possession, but that he was on parole and that he is the son of a person who is being held in the Tacumbú penitentiary for drug trafficking. "We are finding out if the deceased was related to some events recorded in Concepción, he would also be a friend of the Ozuna brothers' gang," he stressed.

It should be noted that the Public Ministry continues with the investigations to find out what were the events that led to the death of this person and with those responsible. The body was taken to the morgue for inspection. So far, no family member has come to identify the body and bury it.
