CANARIAS7 Las Palmas de Gran Canaria Plaza Stagno, next to the Pérez Galdós Theatre, an emblematic place in the city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, hosts the tenth edition of Gran Canaria Fashion & Friends, the most important fashion, trends and gastronomy event on the island.
In addition, the Picnic area disappears as such and is transformed into gastronomic days, Gastrofriends, thanks to the proposal promoted by the Department of Industry, Commerce and Crafts of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria and the support and involvement of trade associations from Triana and Vegueta.
The last big change comes from the fashion catwalk, transformed into an urban parade that will go through several streets of Triana, until reaching Stagno square where they will meet the exhibitors and the public that is visiting at that moment the fair.
The exhibitors area will be located outdoors with a large assembly of pagodas to welcome the participating brands, and the opening hours will be from 12 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday.
"We believe that the combination of culture and fashion achieved with this location will be a success and we would like to thank Teatro Pérez Galdós for its welcome in this regard and encourage citizens to participate in an event that will be more urban than ever and in which they will be able to support not only emerging fashion companies but also local restaurants”, declared the Minister of Industry and Commerce Minerva Alonso.
For his part, the general director of the Fundación Auditorio y Teatro de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Tilman Kuttenenkeuler, agreed in pointing out «the mutual gain that this alliance supposes since the theater itself, due to its location, beauty and artistic content, is an emblematic place that combines the ancient world of the 19th century with modernity, and there the presence of Fashion & Friends is a reinforcement ».
As for the catwalk, so traditional in this event, it moves to the street transformed into an urban parade that will cover various areas of Triana. Specifically, it will start from San Pedro Street until it reaches Stagno Square, where they will meet the exhibitors and the public that is visiting the fair at that time. The timetable for the parades will be at 5:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday.
This Saturday's hours will be from 12:00 to 20:00; and tomorrow, Sunday, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
