These models magnify the name of Costa Rica on international catwalks

About 11 years ago, Natasha Fleming, founder of the Independent Model Management (IMM) agency, was told that Costa Rican models were not going to succeed abroad. That reality changed and, this 2021, Costa Rica has several of them positioned, including Adriana Mora, Solomon James McCrackin, Juliana Herz, Verónica Siblesz and Adrián Feruma.

“Now the industry is looking for more Latin girls, with indigenous or biracial features, black models: now the industry is not so standardized. When I started the agency it was completely different, they were more closed, they only wanted Russian or Brazilian models; however, now having Costa Rican models making a career is very important for the country because it gives us exposure to Costa Rica,” Fleming said.

Adriana Mora

She walked in 2017 for the Dolce & Gabbana brand at Milan Fashion Week.

Adriana Mora is a Costa Rican model, she is 25 years old, 1.78 m tall and grew up in Coronado. In 2017, she was signed by Fleming's agency IMM.

Adrian Feruma

He is a 29-year-old Costa Rican model, who measures 1.87 m; he is also a journalist and audiovisual producer.

Feruma caught the attention of the agencies for being very athletic and for his European profile. Currently the young man is no longer part of the IMM agency.

Veronica is Costa Rican and has Cuban parents, she is 1.78m tall, 22 years old and a curvy model. In fact, she was the only curvy model on the catwalk for the Bronx and Banco brand in the fashion show in New York (United States) and the first Costa Rican model to do this type of show. Solomon James McCrackin

Solomon James McCrackin is a 17-year-old from Limon, who is 1.87 m tall. A few days ago he became the first Costa Rican to model for Louis Vuitton.

Unlike previous models, McCrakin was signed by The Agency CR. The young man was dedicated to surfing and photography, but he was discovered by recruiter Rob Chamaeleo; in a matter of 22 days, the tico made its debut on a high fashion catwalk.

“Solomon has characteristics that look American, Californian, but he has classic and fine physical features, he has an impressive facial symmetry, an elegance of face that can make photos for a perfume from Giorgia Armani, Dior, Gucci, luxury brands. And he has an anachronistic face, which lasts over time, "explained Chamaeleo. The young man will be traveling to different destinations in the coming days to sign with international agencies.

Other relevant models in the industry are Ela Fundora, who did an editorial for Vanity Fair Italy in May of this year, as well as Tatiana Guido, who managed to be the first Costa Rican signed with the entire network of Elite World and The Society in NY.
