Dance, theatre and music, the main inspiration engines of Asturian designer Arturo Obegero, converged this Sunday on the runway of Paris, where the Modisto presented his most mature collection to date playing with white, black, draped and lace.
Some twenty styles made up Asturian's 22 / 23 autumn-winter collection, which has been set on the official calendar of Paris fashion Week with his increasingly reputable oversized trousers and flyer-blouses.
"the world of dance and theatricality calls me a lot. We have a lot of lace, which comes from Calais, and as for the colors all very rigorous, in black and white. It's the most dramatic collection I've ever made, "the designer told EfE before the parade.
Only the emerald green put color on the collection, in a blouse suit and pirate velvet pants.
His classic high size trousers, very Flamenco, he took this time with a black mesh with lace on his back, while the wool point placed warmth on the collection in two high-necked jerseys with a striking draped that starts on one side of the garment and envelops the model like a scarf.
The lace, attached to the body, is shown as a tattoo and combined with pants and vests seems to become a transparent mesh.
Although officially the format chosen by Obegero for this collection-still marked by the coronavirus pandemic-was the video he broadcast through the website of the Federation of High sewing and fashion, the organizer of the event, the designer encouraged himself to organize a small parade in the Espacio Comme des Garçons in Paris, in the central district of the Marais.
"as far as presentation is concerned, this is the biggest thing I've done so far, and we're still on the official schedule of presentations, although it's a more powerful gateway format," Obegero said.
The young creator says he prefers to go "little by little" but advances that he has several collaborations in progress and will soon release a new accessory "that can be very interesting", after the creation in 2021 of his first perfume, Azabache.
"things are going well and people start to find out about me," he says.
The Spaniard, who broadcast his parade live on networks, also presented his first wedding costume on a catwalk, a cocktail model with a white lace that envelops the waist and shoulders.
"my cousin married last summer and wore a veil from a collection we made, with embroidered hydrangeas. It got in my head and I thought it's a line that can fit my brand and at business level it could work in the future, "the young creator confesses.
