If comfort reigned in 2020, in this 2022 –following the same line as 2021– sneakers will dominate the asphalt in their most extravagant versions. Throughout the past year, we realized that ugly-looking sneakers were becoming the object of desire for celebrity experts in the matter. The reason? Probably, the freedom that the person who defends them champions with them. In other words, like any other trendy accessory, footwear continues to rise today as one of the best tools for understanding the relevance of reinvention, of nonconformity. In fashion, anything goes. For this reason, groundbreaking designs will gain ground against the most classic examples in 2022.
Although personalities of the caliber of Katie Holmes are currently confirming the rise of minimalist sneakers, normcore looks –a term that appeared in 2013 defining an anti-style aesthetic– are still in vogue and, in the coming months , will be the absolute rulers permeating the stylistic scene. In this Autumn-Winter 21/22 season, we will be presented with an infinite number of models that will invite us to innovate and launch ourselves with somewhat impossible constructions.
