The close and indestructible relationship established between the French maison and the Grimaldi women is well known. An alliance that began in the time of the remembered Grace Kelly and that continues to this day with the unbreakable friendship between Carolina de Monaco and Karl Lagerfeld and the status of official ambassador that has been granted to Carlota Casiraghi. However, for her Spring/Summer 2022 Haute Couture show, the result was a staging never seen before: Carlota debuted as a runway model... On horseback!

Carlota Casiraghi merges her two passions on the catwalk
This Monday, the brand had released a preview of what we could expect from this renewed show, although we never imagined that we would see Carolina's daughter from Monaco demonstrate their horsemanship skills on the catwalk in Paris. The small teaser showed her galloping between geometric compositions, sculptures and obstacles designed by the artist Xavier Veilhan, also the author of this fashion film. A setting very similar to the one we found ourselves this morning at the Grand Palais Éphémère: the princess repeats the marvelous tweed jewel jacket with jeweled buttons that she also wears in the mystical short film in unusual harmony but somehow perfect and harmonious with her sober equestrian costume."This project contributes to making the show a moment of pure aesthetic emotion, translating the exclusivity and the search for perfection of Haute Couture", explains the brand's statement.
