Traffic changes this Wednesday in Fontiñas for the works of a pedestrian walkway
The City Council informed of the traffic modifications that come into force this Wednesday due to the construction of the Carril do Xuízo pedestrian walkway, in the Fontiñas area. The plan drawn up by the department of infrastructure to carry out the works will modify the traffic on Peña Anda street, leaving only the upward direction towards Doutor Balanza. The last stretch of Doutor Balanza will at the same time change the direction of traffic, thus linking Emilia Pardo Bazán and Carril de Catasol streets.
The first phase of this action will consist of the construction of the footings that will support the walkway and will be completed later with the installation of the structure.
With regard to the installation of the footings, it will be necessary to modify certain services already enabled in the street, such as the pipes, actions that will be carried out "trying to guarantee at all times the least possible inconveniences for the neighbors of the area", explained the councilor infrastructure, the nationalist Alexandre Penas.
