Lucía Herreros show at We Love Flamenco 2022
GALLERY Lucía Herreros has presented her collection «Volver», whose inspiration has been «to meet again in the carriage ride of the Real de la Feria. To return to share the joy of the encounter with friends in the booths, to enjoy the music and dance of our sevillanas, to get excited again with the color of the lighting and the albero, to return to our essences and parties. And, above all, to see again the smile, the poise and the elegance of the Flemish woman and, therefore, of our clients».
The colors have been the basics of her previous collections: the elegance of black, the brilliance of red, the transparency of white, accompanied by the femininity of purple. But she highlights the use of moles in most of her compositions, playing with their contrasts and nuances in terms of size and brightness.
The cuts of the Lucía Herreros flamenco dresses are fitted, marking a daring silhouette with wide volumes at the bottom. There is a predominance of basket-weave skirts and a great variety of sleeves, always looking for pure lines. Among the fabrics, crepes and gauze, along with details made of velvet and organdy to enhance the volume and body of the dresses. Light, vaporous, versatile fabrics that can be used both in daylight and during the spell of the night.

Javier Mojarro fashion show at We Love Flamenco 2022
GALLERY «A mooring is a type of spell that, according to some esoteric and folkloric traditions, is capable of generating in a person feelings of love towards the person who performs it. Andalusia, land of customs, blood with an interior still rooted in what we were… Place of traditions and superstitions, worldly beliefs and memories”, is how Javier Mojarro introduces his 2022 collection. With it he delves into the depths of popular beliefs, esotericism or witchcraft and how they are used to get what we want, in this case love.
The collection has been divided into two blocks, the first of which is made up of the most flamenco garments, suits, skirts and blouses with classic cuts. Proposals with fabrics such as crêpe, suede, organdy, or polytechnic that blend with velvet, tulle, or lace, creating a variety of textures in almost all dresses. The main color range is black and white, a small polka dot and an exclusive fabric from the designer, where flowers such as thistle have been the protagonists along with esoteric motifs in warm tones, and the petticoats give the note of color to each garment. . To create this costumbrista vision of tradition and pagan beliefs, Javier Mojarro has recovered silhouettes associated with Victorian necklines, high necks with ruffles, puffed sleeves, mixtures of textures with velvet and even corsetry pieces.
The second block of the parade has shown prêt-à-porter garments made mostly of dupion silk, velvet, lace or tulle with applications of tears on the garments. Also a more minimalist line with flamenco touches and pieces in colors such as orange, green, purple or light blue, always combined with black.
