The word game Wordle, the sensation of the recently released 2022, has taken a very short time to become viral, and even less to have its version in Aragonese. It's only been a few days since people started talking about this online hobby, which consists of guessing five-letter words by filling in a few little squares that have already started to create addition. Every day a new term is proposed and there are only six chances to find out. Also, it can only be played once every 24 hours.
Wordle was brought to English screens by Josh Wardle, a Reddit engineer. The Colombian Daniel Rodríguez used two afternoons to adapt the game to Spanish and Iñaki Bes has not spent much more adapting it to the Aragonese, with the name of Paroletas Wordle. This resident of Ayerbe, a native of Pinsoro (Cinco Villas), has programmed the application so that, in addition to versions in Spanish, French, Italian, Filipino, Catalan, Galician... the riddle game is also in the Aragonese language.
The game is completely free, without advertising (except the developer's logo) and does not require the installation of any software. All you have to do is access the website paroletas-wordle.religada.com, read the instructions and start playing. The challenge is to guess a word in the Aragonese language of five letters, for which there will be six attempts. It is as simple as writing a term in Aragonese and pressing 'test' to see how many letters you have guessed correctly and whether or not they are in their position.
If the box for the letter is colored green, it is because it has been correct, that is, it is in the word and in the correct position. If the square is yellow, the letter is in the word, but it's not in the right place. If the letter box is grayed out, it is not in the word to guess.

Iñaki Bes explains that, contrary to the rules of the original Wordle, which is only allowed to be played once a day, Paroletas Wordle can be played as many times as you want, since there is no time limit.
The developer of the fun application is a computer scientist and designer of web pages and mobile applications. A few months ago he settled in Ayerbe with his partner, a professor of Aragonese at the University, and from here he does his work. Your Wordle Paroletas currently has 2,500 terms, which will increase as the game improves. "He has already told me to add a track and also adapt it for children," he says.
At the moment, the acceptance is very good. To the starting qualities of the original game (free, simple, without registration or request for data...) Paroletas Wordl adds its educational and informative character, "since it spreads something very much ours, which is the Aragonese language", says Bes.
As explained by this computer scientist and rural entrepreneur, for the development of the application the React open source library devised by Facebook and the community has been used with the aim of facilitating the programming of single-page applications such as Wordle.
