Students of the Bachelor of Fashion Design of the Universidad Modelo will present this Friday, December 17 at 8:00 p.m..
Third and Fifth Semester students made different designs under their own concepts that respond to current real needs such as the use of covers as a garment as a garment.
Due to the pandemic, they decided to launch a video to show these designs, which will be present on social networks, instead of making a catwalk in person.
"We have always sought that students work in real environments and have a real experience in the entire execution of what a catwalk is," said the Director of the Design School of the Model University, Cristian René Aguilar Perera, during the presentation inThe Concept Store and Matilda Gallery.
The director explained that this fashion film consists of a recording made in Matilda and the sports facilities of a model university, and involved working directly with models, makeup artists and teachers, not only of the fashion design area, but also of other degrees.
Sports uniforms for children
The coordinator of the Bachelor of Fashion Design, Jenny Fuentes, mentioned that third semester students worked on designing sports uniforms for children, taking into account the new health and protection needs that the return to classes implies.
"In school we always seek to work on social, cultural, political problems.We worked very at the hands of real clients, in this case, the students worked with children, worked with the parents, to be able to create attractive and safe uniforms, ”he said
Sofía Navarro, a fashion design student, said that working with children was a very positive process, because they were excited about return to face -to -face classes and parents indicated what their priorities are when choosing uniforms.
"One of the objectives was to create uniforms that will encourage them to exercise, that they seem attractive, that they like and feel comfortable, but also add a personal touch to feel more part of the team"
Textile utopia "
Sculpting fashion is the fifth semester catwalk, where students played with different silhouettes and tulle fabric, creating unique volumes and forms of fantasy.
“We create haute couture dresses, that is, they went through processes so that they have the best quality for the client.In this case, we are inspired by the artist Benjamin Shine, who does some tulle -based works, ”said the student Lorna Ayelem.
